Why Do We Always Hurt The Ones We Love

Here We Go Again,
hurting Each Other For No Reason
wondering Why We Keep Committing The Same Mistakes.
sometimes I'm Feeling
that It's More Than Just Illusion
tell Me Why We Keep Pretending
are We So Scared Of Give And Take?
ohh...

chorus:
why Do We Always Hurt The Ones We Love?
(Why?)
just When It Seems We've Finally Made It Through
why Can't We Fly Between The Eagle And The Dove?
why Do We Always Hurt The Ones We Love?

bridge:

when You Cry, The Tears Were Falling Like Raindrops
from My Eyes...Why Do We Do Hurt Each Other?
tell Me Why We Shouldn't Try, Are There Some Things We Didin't Share?
why Do I See You Walking Out Right W/ Me,
i See You Standing Here?

-Instrumental-

...Tell Me Why...Do We Hurt The Ones We Love? (Why?) When We've Finally Made It Through Why Can't We Fly Between The Eagle And The Dove?
why Do We Always Hurt The Ones We Love...Ohh.

Broken Heart Pain

Nearly everyone reading this can relate to our reader because almost everyone has experienced a broken heart. And those of us who have been there discovered two things. 1. The broken heart didn't kill us. 2. After getting over the pain, we grew stronger, wiser, and more experienced, which made us a candidate for a better future relationship.

Weren't you shocked, disappointed, and in pain? Didn't it feel as though you would never get over it? But you did, didn't you? How do you think you will feel about your present relationship in five years? Won't you be over this one and in a new one? If you pause and think this over, experiencing this truth in your mind and imagination, you should find some comfort. Now let's look at some steps you can take to return your life to normal.

1. Accept that your relationship is over. Don't give yourself false hopes and drag out the pain longer than needed. End the relationship cleanly. She is no longer a part of your life, so get rid of mementos or relics of the past. Don't hang on to what might have been. Rather clear the way for what will come.

2. Don't hold grudges. Resentment merely adds to the pain you are already feeling. Besides, it is entirely inappropriate to be angry with her because both of you made mistakes. You are both the cause of the breakup. What went wrong? Nothing really. You both were growing up and learning about relationships. Everyone goes through it, so don't be alarmed or surprised.

3. Shift from FEELING to THINKING. That is, be proactive and learn from the situation. Ask yourself questions like, "How did I contribute to the breakup? To prevent the same thing from happening again, what should I do differently?"

4. Listen to life. It's telling you that it has better plans for you, so it's changing things. Don't fight the changes. Struggling only prolongs your final victory. Rather than resisting, jump in the river of life and go with the flow. Embrace change and look forward to the new adventure that awaits you.

Since today is the first day of the rest of your life and your first step along your new adventure, get in step with life by making your own changes. For example, you can change your hairstyle or the way you dress. Also, this is the perfect time to get involved in new activities such as workouts in a gym, and art, writing, speech, or photography classes. Spice up your life and rediscover how exciting it is.

5. Shift your attention from inward to outward. Stop thinking about your own pain and start thinking about the pain of others. This is a great time to become a volunteer. You can work in a soup kitchen, visit the elderly, or help immigrant children learn how to read and write. By the way, the self-esteem you lost because of the breakup will be more than replaced by what you gain from volunteering and personal-development.

6. If you need some help in getting over the pain of a breakup, your library or bookstore has plenty of good books available. Here are three examples: How to Mend a Broken Heart by Aleta Koman, McGraw-Hill, 1998; Mars and Venus Starting Over: A Practical Guide for Finding Love Again After a Painful Breakup, Divorce, or the Loss of a Loved One by John Gray, Harpercollins, 2002; How to Heal a Broken Heart in 30 Days: A Day-by-Day Guide to Saying Good-bye and Getting On With Your Life by Howard Bronson and Mike Riley, Broadway, 2002.

7. Keep active. Don't mope at home. Stroll downtown or take a walk in the park. Go out with friends. When at home, get involved with a hobby or special interest.

8. Look after your health. Exercise, eat healthy meals, and get enough sleep. Good health supports your emotional health and well-being.

9. Seek comic relief. TV and movie comedies can lift the spirit. And when you go out with friends, hang out with those who are positive and are fun to be around.

10. If you're really feeling down, writing can be cathartic. Writing your feelings in a journal or composing a poem can help you transfer your pain from within you to outside you. You can also do the same thing by talking about your feelings with a close, supportive friend.

11. If you are allowed to have pets where you live, a dog or cat can add a great deal of love into your life. If you can't have a dog or cat, you can work as a volunteer at an animal shelter.

12. Keep a gratitude journal. Each day, jot down at least three things you are grateful for. Once you develop the habit of focusing on the positive, you'll easily be able to weather whatever storm comes your way.

13. Don't try to drown your pain with alcohol or drugs. That's like jumping from the frying pan into the fire. Just take the positive, proactive steps that were already mentioned.

14. Don't rush into another relationship. Seeing others is fine, but don't get intimate with another until you are completely healed. And once you go back to dating again, be sure to date only women you respect and admire, not for their beauty, charm and wit, but for their GOODNESS. But for you to attract such a woman, you will have to be just as good. So, work on your gentleness, kindness, patience, acceptance, generosity, and everything else that you want to find in your future partner.

15. Finally, if these suggestions or the recommended books don't help, see a counselor or join a support group. Help is there for you, but don't wait for it to come to you; go to it.
For me letting go pain and accept all the facts that there’s always a reason behind hurting someone. It’s not by chance it’s a choice…like me…it’s my choice to loving someone who’s always hurting me and it’s a chance to choose…
Real tears are not those that fall from the eyes and cover the face but those that fall from the heart and cover the soul. There are always having a reason, reason for the good and the bad time, and more importantly, a reason to an end. We have more to learn more to experience and more loving left in this lifetime…
Don’t waste your time loving someone who isn’t willing to love you, FOREVER its hurts…when we risk our hearts and it ends up being broken but what hurts even more is when we still hold on. When we already know that we’re waiting go NOTHING.
One of the hardest things you’ll ever have to do is to let someone know he/she didn’t love you anymore but you have to.
Letting go has never been easy and holding on can be difficult. Yet, strength measured not by holding on but by letting go. It’s hard to end love with someone, but it it’s harder to continue loving someone when it is not the same love you started with sometimes change as what’s best. Letting your heart break, and learning how to cope. Please forgive a heart that only fought for what it wanted, and it wanted FREEDOM…

How to Learn to Trust Again

When the person you love and trust betrays you, it can be earth shattering and make you feel that you will never be able to trust again. Learning to trust again is a difficult thing to do but if you have made the decision to stick with the relationship and forgive him or her for betraying your trust you have to learn to deal with your own suspicions and paranoia in a positive way. Only the betrayer can take the steps required to earn your trust back but there are some steps that you can take to make it easier for you to start trusting again.

Step
1.A major problem that keeps couples from building trust back is lack of full disclosure. Your partner must recognize and disclose information to you so that you can have closure on the subject. Not having all your questions answered only leads to a wandering mind and you coming to your own conclusions as to what really happened. Talk with your partner and let him or her know that the only way to get through this is to once and for all come clean on the entire situation. Healing can not happen until everything is out in the open and there is no more lingering doubt.

Step
2.Determination to make things work and a positive attitude about how you feel towards your partner can make a big difference in how you behave around him or her after a betrayal. If you hold onto feelings of resentment they will come through no matter how hard you try to hide them and in the end will make both of you bitter about the other.

Step
3.Learn to let go of what happened. Don't bring up the past if it's something you have decided to work through. You can't throw it in your partners face every time he or she does something that is wrong. You will never forget what has happened but if you have chose to forgive, you have to REALLY forgive and move on.

Step
4.Don't let your paranoia be the destructive piece behind your relationship. You may feel the need to "police" your partners actions, but spying is an act of betrayal and doesn't do anything to further building trust in your relationship. Realize that if your partner is going to betray your trust again, no amount of spying is going to keep them from doing it. You probably found out about the initial betrayal without spying, and most likely if it happens again you will find out about that too.

Step
5.Seek help from couples counseling. Sometimes it takes a non-biased opinion to help you get through a betrayal in the relationship. Therapists are there to listen, not judge, and will often put you on the right path to opening those doors to trust again. You may even seek out individual counseling if you continue having problems trusting in people.

Worst Relationship Mistakes

When you think about the worst relationship mistakes, it may bring to mind subjects like infidelity, lying, and other serious issues. However, there are other relationship mistakes which can be equally destructive, although they are not as obvious to many people. It is a good idea to keep them in mind, because they have the potential to ruin a relationship.
One of the worst relationship mistakes which, unfortunately, is quite popular today, is believing that one should be a completely open book to one’s partner or prospective partner. While being honest to one’s partner is positive, some people fail to realize that honesty does not mean giving their partners every single detail of their lives. Although this can create unnecessary jealousy and resentment, it can go even further. People who develop this habit fail to realize that people are intended to have some degree of privacy. This includes certain experiences from one’s past and personal life, as well as thoughts and feelings. While people who make this mistake often believe that it encourages communication, it usually backfires. “Telling all,” and prodding one’s partner to do the same, strips away the essential sense of privacy which every person needs for himself or herself.

Another destructive relationship mistake covers those who are not familiar enough with the concept of a “personal life.” In order for a relationship to be strong and healthy, it is essential to not “invite” other people into it. Unfortunately, many people do not understand that by sharing personal details about their relationships with their friends or family members they are actually weakening the relationship.

These days, more and more people who enter the dating scene or begin relationships have children. This fact brings with it some very serious relationship mistakes. It cannot be stressed too strongly that if you have children, regardless of their ages, they should not be included in your dating or casual relationships. Unless you the other person have made a permanent commitment to each other, you should consider it to be your social life in which your children are not included. Not only is it one of the worst relationship mistakes, it is also one of the most serious, because children should not be in the position of bonding to those who will not be a permanent part of their lives. In addition, as dating or a casual relationship is meant to be about the two people involved, allowing your children to participate can put your children in danger from unscrupulous individuals who are more interested in your children than in you.

There are other mistakes which can take place early in a relationship. Some of these include beginning a relationship with someone who has numerous characteristics which you find unacceptable, with the belief or hope that you can “change” the person; ignoring “red flags,” such as a person’s history of substance dependency, abusive treatment of former partners or children; and failing to find out at the beginning whether the person is looking for casual dating experiences or a long-term relationship.

The relationship that will work is the one where both individuals have similar values, standards, and goals. If you find that the person you are considering does not have these points in common with you, one of the worst relationship mistakes is to assume that they do not matter. They are the foundation on which a successful relationship is built.

Why is life so unfair?

You can't win for losing...

Why is that life is so unfair? Why is it that things don't always go the way you planned, or ever? You think that you've got everything, the perfect spouse and marriage, the greatest children, job and then one thing after another constantly goes wrong. Every time you turn around something is always holding you back from accomplishing your dreams. Of course the major factor is always money. You want to take risks to try to get ahead but it seems like whatever they are there is always some drawback. You try to make money on your own terms and that blows up in your face. Your bills are getting behind, your kids need to be fed and clothed, your perfect little marriage you thought you had is starting to get rocky, that job has become just a paycheck, you feel alone almost always and you want to cry all the time. You can't go around burdening everyone else with your problems because 80% of people is dealing with the same shit.

If you weren't born with a silver spoon in your mouth your pretty much screwed! I can't stand it when some 16 year old idiot working at the grocery store who knows absolutely nothing about having to take care of a family or making ends meet complains the whole time you are in line about how they really want that new Prada bag like their friend has but they can't get it yet because their cruel parents are making them buy their own school clothes because they just bought her a new Mustang and the payment is a little high. HELLO, you are 16 years old, what the hell do you need with a Prada bag? What do you need with a brand new Mustang? Are you that ignorant to not appreciate that you get everything you want and don't need and the majority of other kids will never have or even imagine having because their parents had to work for everything they had and taught them the value of a money? Do you not ring up hundreds of people a week who are paying for their groceries with an atm/credit card or are digging real far in the bottom of their purse claiming that they want to get rid of some change and pay only in change? Do you not take other peoples situations into consideration when you are acting like a three year old because you have one little responsibility and don't understand why?

Why are the people in this world so cruel? Will it ever change? Will we all ever accomplish our life dreams? Will there ever be a day that goes by that we're not worrying which bill we gotta pay next or when our paycheck will hit the bank? Will there ever be a day when those snot nosed spoiled rich kids don't get it all?...
